Delaware Debates 2014: U.S. House of Representatives
Candidates for the state’s congressional delegation squared off in the Delaware Debates 2014, a joint initiative of the University of Delaware’s Center for Political Communication and Delaware Public Media, on Wednesday evening, Oct. 15, in Mitchell Hall on the UD campus in Newark. The debates featuring candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives were held back-to-back.

National Agenda 2014: Battle for Congress, featuring post-election analysis with Steve Schmidt and Stephanie Cutter
During a University of Delaware National Agenda speaker series discussion held Wednesday evening, Nov. 19, 2014, in Mitchell Hall, political strategists Stephanie Cutter and Steve Schmidt noted that, far from being over with the midterm results, the current political slugfest for control of Congress and the White House in 2016 is just beginning to heat up. Schmidt is an international political strategist who was John McCain’s presidential campaign manager in 2008. Cutter was deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obama in 2012.

National Agenda 2013: Delaware and the Nation
On October 30, 2013, the University of Delaware’s Center for Political Communication presented the results of a Fall 2013 public opinion poll in Delaware as part of the National Agenda 2013: Delaware and the Nation. The poll measured Delawareans’ opinions on Delaware news and politics, including topics such as gay marriage, voting rights, internet security and surveillance, and the standing of Delaware officials.
